The place is great. Definitely worth a visit if you have the extra time. We got there unexpectedly so we hadn’t booked anything in advance. We found some tour operators very pushy and over bearing. We avoided these. We managed to find a decent tour operator, quadzilla and had a relatively good experience.

Wow. This was an experience. I forgot all my problems. I booked with Twin Venture with helpful staff Zwelakhe and Luvo. As a foreigner without an SA phone like - Luvo shared his hotspot with me so I could connect and bring up info he needed to get me setup. Zwelakhe was a darling - he waited for me, paced me till I was more confident to ride and follow at a faster pace. He also guided us to a trail that was exhilarating. Loved loved loved it
Had the best time at The Dunes! It’s a wonderful spot for a family day out or a fun outing with friends. I recommend packing some snacks and enjoying them while taking in the beautiful surroundings. You can also book a quad bike experience to explore the dunes with your group — such a thrilling adventure! The prices are very reasonable, and the staff are well-organized. Please note that alcohol is not permitted on the premises, and vehicles are checked on entry. Be sure to clean up after yourself so that future generations can continue to enjoy this amazing destination.
